Mild light chop with SW winds a day to drift.
Drifted for 3 1/2 hours at two different weed edges.
Second edge worked best caught a total of13 fish .
3 keeper eyes 4 small eyes 2 gills 3 perch 1 pike.
South east edge of the middle grounds provided more fish.

Clear cool light west wind fished 4 hours.
Caught 21 fish 1 keeper eye 9 smalleyes 2 pike 2 smallmouth 2 rockbass 4 perch 1 large mouth.
Good day just hard to find keepers. Trolled 4 different weed edges.

My least favorite winds today NNE fished 4 hours caught 9 fish.

Misty damp day no fishing.
Ace is going to say a few words about Fridays fish fry.
Thanks to the Chief and Coon Kissing Woman [Tom And Barb]
without their hospitably we would not have room for the over 40 friends who attended
the 6th fish fry at their home. A great time was had by all plenty of food and liquid refreshment.
We hope for more fish frys in the future. Thanks for giving me reason to fish.

Ace fished alone from 6:30 till 10:30 choppy hazy.

Tuesday 8/2 report
No fishing report today.
Yesterday afternoon I received news of the death of my longtime neighbor and friend Jim.
Jim and his late wife were friends and later neighbors for over 40 years.
Jim was a great fisherman and a great help in honing my fishing skills.
He will be missed and my heart goes out to his family.
He and his wife Lois now fish forever with the Lord in heaven.
