Winter2016 ice fishing report

The lake is frozen and snow covered. Ice is over 6 in. in many places but caution must be used

Reports of keeper eyes and many pike being caught. Come up for the holiday break and have fun .

tuesday 6/28 report

I fished in the Jon Green Walleye Classic Saturday, my son and I finished 2 nd.

Walleye fishing has been slow this year but reports of very good pan fish catches

have been coming in. The Classic winner found the best walleye fishing in front

of the Elks club he boated 8 keeper eyes on Saturday, biggest one was over 21 in.

Looks like the 4 of July weekend should have great fishing weather.

Wednesday 6/8 report

Third day of wind and whitecaps no fishing. I fished Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. the bite was slow but I was still able to boat 20 or so each day, 1 keeper eye each day.

I haven't been posting as much this year, so if you would like a more updated report I'll recommend

6/1 report

No fishing Sunday but got out Monday,Tuesday,and Wednesday.

1 keeper eye Monday and15 other fish. 2 keeper eyes Tuesday and 21 other fish.

1 keeper eye and 12 other fish Wednesday

Mayfly hatch has begun fishing should be great as long as the weather cooperates.

Reports from friends and other fishermen all saying the bite for all fish has been good.

Sunday 5/29 report

A little breezy this morning no fishing. I did quite well Friday ,4 keeper eyes 5 small eyes 13 other fish. Saturday fished 5 hours with my son we caught 7 keeper eyes and many misc. fish. Great fish fry with the neighbors cleaned up last years frozen stock pile. Looks like another week of nice weather coming fishing should be great.

thursday 5/26 report

Rainy Thursday morning. the water temp has been rising fish are becoming more active.

Monday I landed 15 fish, Tuesday 18 fish Wednesday 24 fish. Mostly small eyes but the keepers

will come. Yellow blades and white blades on my crawler harness working well.

Reports of mayfly's the fishing should be great for the weekend, watch the weather threat of

thunder showers for the next few days.   

5/22 report

Walleye fishing has been slow, 4 days of morning fishing I've boated 1 keeper eye 4 small eyes and 26 pike. Water is warming small eyes reported between cut river and Flint rd. Good number of gills and crappies hitting in and around the cannels in east bay.

Sunday 5/15 report

The first post of the 2016 season, very slow walleye action I've only fished 5 days.

total catch thus far 2 keeper eyes 2 small eyes 2 large mouth and 50 pike.

Weather has been cool and windy, and the water level is high and tea colored.

I'll post when fishing picks up
