1/31/17 report

Snowy day after a good weekend. Tip up town was very busy the fish board was full, nice catches of pike and pan fish were displayed. We still have 12 to 14 in of ice but you must watch for pressure cracks. The key to fishing is to find 9 to 10 ft drop off with weeds, there is no problem catching fish.
Be safe have fun. The largest walleye caught were 28 in. and 29 in.

1/19 report

We still have 12 to 14 in of ice, good pike fishing. Warm weather and rain has coated the lake with

2 in of water but snow machine and quads are traveling every ware on the lake, watch for pressure

cracks and use caution. Tip up town is this week end come up and have fun.

tuesday 1/10 report

The lake ice reports are 8 to 12 in of ice, watch for pressure cracks, quads and snow machines are traveling the entire lake. Reports of limit catches of eyes on the Houghton lake fisherman Facebook site.  This was in 20 FOW only 2 spots on the lake have this depth so look at your maps.  Tip up Town starts 1/20 and is for two weekends come up and have fun, ice conditions are looking good, use common sense and travel safe!

2017 ice report

8 to 10 in of ice reported  covering  the lake. Snow machines and 4 wheelers  out this weekend.
Little round and Horse shoe weed beds have been the reported hot spots . Four ice shanties are at the horse shoe weed bed as I'm posting.
